You have Downgrade to the version 1.14 to Unlock Eeprom Chip so
will Flash the Bios Mod over It using the Sleep Bug !

again i hope you can please help me here.

i updated to 3.03 then needed to reset bios
so i downgraded to v1.14 after that i flashed the modded bios for this version.
after iv done all the changes i wanted when i try to re-flash 1.14 original so i can update again i get a message that the rom is the same version in the file and in the bios and it wont flash.

how bad is it to fix the issue ? (if at all ?)

Run this to downgrade:

Remember to set the Option (BIOS Back Flash) in bios that
enables you to flash an older bios, before you run it.


Nop (user) suggestion . . .

I found another solution - Just in case it was ever needed.

Download the 1.14 version

http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobi...cn31ww.exe

Then use 7-zip to extract that .exe file, You will find a platform.ini file into that folder.

Then Look for "BIOSVFEnable=2" and replace it with "BIOSVFEnable=0", run as Administrator InsydeFlash.exe tool and go !

Verified working !

first method says the rom is not newer then the one in the bios (and flashing old version is enabled in bios) and wont allow to flash

second method i also tried it says it the same rom as the one in the bios and refuse to work (flashing old bios is enabled)

after some editing with platform.ini file i managed to get it to ignore the rom version
now i have a bigger issue

laptop will totally hang when it start to flash
CPU temp go all the way to 100
and only hard shutdown will save it
