Thanks, but do you know what would it unlock to me?

And is there any backup plan if anything goes wrong? I've wasted a motherboard in the past (15+ years ago) with a BIOS modification, and I'm very a little frightened to do it again

The problem is not to reflash he Bios Mod anf get It working but not change all Settings to make deep
modifyies and Brick after the Laptop !!!
There arenothing to Recover only using the Tools = SPI PGM + Clip can recover the laptop !

Heh, thanks! It seems that the program couldn't do something with my BIOS other than read it.
Maybe BIOS protection, or the fact that I'm running it on Windows 10?

Anyway, I gave up on modding it. Unfortunately it is too risky for something I've saved for 2 years lol

Flashed from booting via USB stick into DOS. Ran attached flash.bat & appeared to work, giving me the following

error code: 00000000
exception: 0E

But when I reboot and bring up the bios, it looks the same as before and I don't see an option for "Advanced" anywhere - which is what I am looking for so I access certain memory settings. Obviously I have missed something.

Thoughts are appreciated

Ok You have to Downgrade to previous Bios Version !

How To Downgrade :

snebob

Run this to downgrade:

Remember to set the option in bios that enables you to flash an older bios, before you run it.

I found another solution - Just in case it was ever needed.

Download the 1.14 version

Then use 7-zip to extract that .exe file, You will find a platform.ini file into that folder.

Then Look for "BIOSVFEnable=2" and replace it with "BIOSVFEnable=0", run as Administrator InsydeFlash.exe tool and go !

Verified working

Then redo the rsults files and upload them here !

Error 280: Failed to disable write protection for the BIOS space!

Try the Sleep Bug !
Put your laptop into Sleep Mode and then Wacke-Up It, after redo the results file agin
and upload them here !
