I'm trying to get a modified bios with white-list removed for a Yoga 2 Pro. I'm trying to upgrade to a Broadcom BCM94352Z WiFi card. I have BIOS version 76CN43WW.

Hi there. I've recently purchased a 7265NWG Wireless card for my trusty Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro (seemed more readily available than the 7260NWG) and of course got the "Unauthorized Wireless Card" error, since I wasn't aware of the whole Vendor whitelisting policy due to the FCC.

I've seen from other threads here that the BIOS for each user is somewhat unique due to the embedded Windows key or something, and how many people have to run a utility and post the output, so someone who knows what they're doing here can patch it on their behalf. Can someone still clarify if this is still the way to go, and if so post me links to the current tools to do this (and let me know if they'll work on Windows 10 Home)?

I'm on an old 76CN38WW BIOS. Should I first upgrade to the 76CN43WW? Or is it better to remain on an older version? (i.e. if this "Sleep Bug" that I've read about has been fixed in the newer version). Also do I need to do anything fancy like boot from a Linux live CD to run this hack to enable the advanced BIOS settings, or is that what the whole "sleep bug" was supposed to work around?

If there's anything I should take into account, such as how to restore if i brick my laptop updating the BIOS, would be good to know too.

Hi, I have the same need of modified bios. I need to change my wifi card.
Bios: 76CN43WW
Advanced menu enabled
Bios lock disabled

I managed to build modified bios myself, but then I decided to submit request here after comparing results of dumps in results.rar file (there are files x32 x64 with different content !).
