[REQUEST] Toshiba Satellite C655D BIOS unlock
#71
Go into Bios Mod folder and edit file Platform.ini modifing Flag=1 to Flasg=0 then save and retry !

[Bios_Version_Check]
Flag=1 ******************* to Flag=0 ***********************
;This flag is the switch of checking BIOS version.
;Flag default : 2.
; 0 : Don't check rom file version.
; 1 : Check BIOS version.
; When rom file version is older then BIOS, it will display
; a warning message and close application.
; 2 : Depend on BIOS report.

Let me know
Regards

P.S. Into the Setuputility EFI IFR file I cannot find VT-d or VT-x so look by yourself as It seems there isn't this possibility !

Your Brain . . . . It's the best tool U can use ! Wink
Don't FLASH the Bios Mod if You get a Size Alert, You risk a Brick !!!

@BDmaster, Thanks!

Regarding virtualization there has been a plan on the table for some time to deploy Virtualized desktops via
a key system. (In the Ed Snowden arena.) See business plan here. www.catalystlightwave.com.

Not being a programmer with linux installed I am assuming to download file open it with correct
editor find variable change to "True" and save correctly, that kind of thing?
However if line does not exist adding it could brick device.
So not worth the risk?

@ cookie this previous thread went through the same issues for a similiar C655d

https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-t...655D-S5200

with no luck. It Includes file that will downgrade your BIos to 1.4.
However I think he meant to download open and look for variable, not install.
(Am I correct BDMASTER)
Went bankrupt doing the Catalyst Lightwave thing so cannot afford new hardware either.

However very Happy running Ubuntu as host with VMWARE windows 7 when I need windows.

Thanks again BDMASTER!
