I still found no solution to use my Intel Wireless-AC 3160 in my Compaq Presario CQ62. It's been 4 months and I still got no answer, negative or positive
Someone has an idea?

Thanks to Camiloml. I just wasted a day researching how to do this and here was a ready made one for HP sp52604. It works. My Aunt’s old laptop just went from 2.4GHz 65Mbps to 5GHz 870Mbps. Oh and Bluetooth for the first time.

When using this modified BIOS, is it better to buy HP only version or the universal version that works with all of the other laptops? I have found it hard to find information about this?

Hi there, new to the forum as i am trying to resurrect a G62-450SA that has the Ralink RT5390 that could not work with any other modern card.
I flashed your Bios file and now it is unlocked,not stuck at 78mbps anymore, cheers for that.

A couple of questions:
Dumbing the bios file in a hex editor i can see 4x cards listed,
-RT5390 (current one)
-RT5390BC8
-RT3090BC4 and
-RTL8191SE
That means only those cards are supported excluding any others?

And my second one is because of my OCD  , is there a way NOT to see for that second the 702 error before continue booting to windows?
