#1
Hello everyone and congrats for ur work and help here ! This week i resurect an old HP Pavilion zv5213ea (hdd failure , added ram and new battery , fan cleaned and lubbed and new thermal paste on processor) and i discovered the UGLY 104 error Huh trying to add a WiFi b/g card (original has only "b" standard with 11Mb).After some research on the internet i found this great forum board and i think i can find help here from more experienced users.
Here is the original BIOS from HP site : ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp30001-30500/sp30397.exe HP BIOS F.35 (AMD)

This is the WiFi Card i want to add on whitelist :
INPROCOMM IPN2220 Wireless LAN Card
taken from an Acer Travelmate Notebook with this specs :
Device ID : 17FE-2220
Subsystem ID : 1468-0305

Supported Device ID:
PCI\VEN_17FE&DEV_2220&SUBSYS_03051468,
PCI\VEN_17FE&DEV_2220

Actual WiFi Card :
Broadcom BCM4301 802.11b Wireless LAN Controller
ID Hardware : PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4301&SUBSYS_12F3103C&REV_02

ok,

the bios had not been flashed, the dump is a copy of the HP original.

Flash the mod again,

Upon opening the WinPhlash , click "Advanced Settings" then check and uncheck the boxes so it looks like this:

("Flags" Tab):
[ ] Verify BIOS part number
[ ] Flash only if BIOS version is different
[ ] Flash only if BIOS version is newer
[ ] Verify BIOS image size
[ ] Verify BIOS checksum
[ ] Zero block before erasing
[x] Verify block after programming
[x] Disable Axx swaping automatic detection (if present)
[ ] Clear CMOS Checksum

("DMI" tab)
"Update": Select "Update the BIOS and not DMI"

Please help me !

i don't understand what happens, how was the settings in winphlash.
i am using reliable tools and method to make my mods and for this one it was very simple, something i have already done with success.

for recovery search with google "phoenix crisis recovery", also here

search also "TC1100-BIOS-Upgrade-Failure-Crisis-Recovery" i know that this method had worked for a bricked HP TC1100
