Has anyone managed to mod a BIOS for this laptop and it worked? I'm also looking for a modded BIOS for ProBook 4540s.

The older is the F.01 sp57102 04-2012 so Protected !!!
Only way to rewrite this Bios Mod is to use the Tools (SPI PGM + Clip)

That looks kinda scary. The reason that's the only way is because the only bios version we can mod is really old and downgrading is not allowed, or is is because some hash, signature checks and etc? I'm just kinda curious.

(I dual boot with Linux BTW)

Try to make a search by Google and You'll find that I Modded ProBook and EliteBook
laptop and a lot of DVx series too but where is the RSA Internal Check We can do only
by SPI Programmer !

I recently purchased an HP Probook 4540s laptop (model B6M03EA#ACB). Of course, it is not the most advanced now, but I would like to install a new Wi-Fi6 AX200 module. To do this, I need the help of professionals. The BIOS on this laptop has not changed since the release: 68IRR Ver. F.01 from 04/19/2012. I ask you to advise which BIOS version without the "white list" is best to install (perhaps there is one already ready for this model). Of course, I would like to install the latest BIOS version (with all the fixes) and without a programmer (from a USB flash drive) ... if possible. If you need any clarification, I'm ready to provide.
