[REQUEST] Lenovo Yoga 11E (N15ETxxW) Whitelist Removal
#1
Hello! I've used this form to great effect in the past, but it seems I've come upon an issue.

I received a replacement motherboard for my device(Yoga 11E), which had trackpad issues, and I cannot use the wifi card in the new board. The original board had the following BIOS versions:

Package:
1.15(N15UJ10W)
UEFI BIOS:
1.15(N15ET55W)
ECP:
1.12(N15HT28W)

The new board had:

Package:
1.17(N15UJ12W)
UEFI BIOS:
1.17(N15ET57W)
ECP:
1.13(N15HT29W)

I have rolled the new board back to N15UJ10W package listed above, and yet the original oh so popular AC7260 card does not work. The FCCID matches what is on the bottom cover of the device.

Card Info:
Intel Dual Band
Wireless-AC7260 Model:7260NGW
23S

8SSW10A11603
T1SS53D009P
EC: 729352
WFM: CC3D828C71A2
BDM: CC3D828C71A6
FRU P/N: 04W6059      CNC C-11586
TA: H40218-002

If possible, could I be pointed to the general method to perform this whitelist removal/card addition? I have a direct connection programmer if necessary. I haven't been able to get very far on this one.

I have same issue. Replacing 12 motherboards with one revision older of the motherboard part number (old DA0LI5MB6I0, new DA0LI5MB6H0). Unknown what the bios version of the original boards because they are all dead. Updated the new board to the latest bios version, but still won't accept original wifi cards. Card FRU is 04X6087

UEFI BIOS: N15ET73W (1.33)
Embedded Controller: N15HT34W (1.18)

Hi there,
The wifi card of my wife's laptop (Lenovo yoga 11e) died. I tried to replace it with something more capable. (Ax200,ax210, ax300)
With the cards I have tried (different models and chipsets) i am getting an error message saying: 1802: unauthorized network card installed ..... System halted.
Through some research I have learned that Lenovo devices perform a whitelist check at the bios/UEFI level and block all non authorized hardware.
Is it possible to remove that restriction?
Is it possible to find modified bios files somewhere?
Any help would be appreciated.
You all know happy wife happy life

Btw the Lenovo laptop currently runs
UEFI Bios version n15et80w (1.40)
The embedded controller version is n15ht35w (1.19)

Thanks in advance,
Heiko
