[Request] ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition G513 (AMD)

I was looking at this a couple of days ago after picking up one of these at best buy, RAM voltage, clock, and timing control would be incredible. i wouldnt mind all that other access either. I've uploaded my G513QY Rom as well (2021 ASUS G15 AMD Advantage 5900HX/6800m)

Don't know if one size fits all for rom flashing but if you have the time can you perform the same mods to my bios for me? I dont see asus giving us DOCP control anytime soon.

as an aside does anyone know how to change the logo and boot sound that plays on the g513QY ? it seems kind of stupid but i could have some fun with that.

Hi~i can do this mod ,i have related modify experience and done the menu unlock on ryzen laptops .
But an hardware spi programmer is necessary if you wanna have a mod on a ASUS AMD ryzen laptop. We need it to read/write data from chip. I think afu utilities are useless for this platform.

To support your efforts i would take the same way like geonode the pirate who entered my ship arrrrrrr .
just to make sure i understand everything correct for now (i do not very often use my poor english skills) we can get a mod where we have Advanced+Chipset+Boot Menu and later we can get a little more if you know how to unlock the rest of it?

Yes, right now I can provide the Advanced2+Chipset+Boot2 Menu mods, which have many settings. Later on, I hope to be able to unlock the CBS/PBS/AOD/PciDynamic Menus that contain all of the settings one could dream of in a laptop. AOD specifically has all kinds of overclocking settings.

EDIT: Genius239 is more experienced than I am with getting mods flashed. As such, I would too recommend that everyone who wants mods on this thread get a CH341A SPI programmer with a SOIC8 clip. Other BIOS flashing methods are unlikely to work.

Please take two BIOS dumps using the CH341A SPI Programmer and upload them here. I ask for two so that I can verify that there was a good connection to the BIOS chip when the dumps were taken. I could mod the AFU backups, but practice with the CH341A successfully dumping images before flashing anything is a good idea. @jeanlegi @Geonode

Hey guys,  Stumbled across this thread trying to find a way to get XMP on my G513QY.  Earlier in the thread it looked like it was all good to go but the post by genius239 indicates we cannot read or write from the bios without additional hardware but we can create dumps so I think i'm a bit lost on what needs to happen.

Oh and Sml good to see you on! Still owe you for that KHLB2 mod lol.

Right now, we can get BIOS dumps using AFU (for AMD and Intel CPUs) or FPT (for Intel CPUs), but we cannot flash the dumps or mods using any software tools. In order to flash anything other than an official BIOS update that is a newer version than the current BIOS, we need the hardware programmer that I mentioned in Post #14.

Feel free to join this thread and we can get your G513QY modded as well. We will guide you through use of the SPI programmer. While waiting for the SPI programmer (so that you can flash mods), if you obtain and upload a BIOS dump using AFUWIN, I could take a look at what settings are unlockable. I think your notebook has the "XMP" functionality under different setting names.
