Request: Supermicro C2SBX+ motherboard possible hidden menus for memory settings?

Hello We of Us,

We of Us Wrote:Sorry for late answer, wecells had a little mess up with our OS System file corrupting and it took 3 evenings to solve. Dodgy

That is never fun to deal with...

We of Us Wrote:The looooooooooong boot up time was like 30 minutes to reach to the point of starting BIOS setup screen that normally goes about <1min after the BIOS flashing restart.

Is quick boot disabled? The computer may be scanning all of the RAM before booting. That would explain some of the slowness. If this was not the issue, try unplugging all unnecessary devices (unplug hard drives as a last resort). The other BIOS may have issues with one or more pieces of your hardware. If this solves the issue, try plugging them back in one by one until the issue is found.

We of Us Wrote:What do youcells mean by the unmodified? Do youcells mean the official CBXP6019.ROM that is not within that CRISIS zip file?

Wecells don't have that and we just renamed the BIOS.WPH from the CRISIS file to CBXP6019.ROM, and flashed that with that assumed bricking result.

Yes. The file from post #1 of this thread is the one I meant. I would try flashing it as "bios.wph".

We of Us Wrote:Wecells don't have the BIOS programming device, which can do the hardware programming to the BIOS chip:

http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/...18973.html

... if youcells mean that?

If this device is capable of programming one of your particular BIOS chips (It looks like it could), then all you have to do is reprogram the BIOS chip using a BIOS image from post #1 of this thread or the confirmed working modified BIOS from post #30 of this thread. Try programming one of your chips that have already been removed unless you can program it directly from the motherboard.

No, it's not disabled usually, but maybe in the older bioses it is? Must check all of that someday... Wink

That 2.0a beta BIOS does not have the CRISIS enabled on it... Renaming it to BIOS.WPH does not function correctly, we think? Only that cbxp6019_CRISDISK.zip has the CRISIS inside the BIOS structure. Confused

Well, the removing of the IC chips from the PCB is one time job, and there is not enough of IC to be left to program into. Big Grin

Only new chips can be reliably programmed and then soldered to the BIOS location of the MB PCB.

Wecells don't think that the programming device software can program the MB onboard BIOS chip, only the one on the external programming device.

Hello We of Us,

What does the Advanced>Hardware Monitor>'V_DIMM:' setting in your BIOS do when changed? Does this allow you to fix the memory voltage or is it just a voltage indicator that notifies you of the current voltage?

Youcells answered it on this one.

That is not user defined setting, but just indicator.
