I'd like to second this, although this is an old thread. there's inherent issues with this model all around, such as a BIOS whitelist, and that there should definitely be more options available, but are locked away.

this model series also has some really bad thermal management. it keeps the fans off until about 50C on sensor THRM0 and only then will it bring the fans up to low speed. high speed starts around 70C, and full blast fan at 80C. this is unacceptable, especially when you're me and have an i3-380M you got for free stuffed in an L635-S3030.

if there's any way for someone to take some time and mod that BIOS linked there, it would absolutely help. that's the current BIOS version still.

there's also one for the L655...? I wonder if it's the same BIOS. afraid to try since I'll probably brick the sucker.
