[SOLVED]Acer Extensa 5230E - t7700 upgrade microcode mod (REQUEST)

Hello guys,

I have upgraded cpu of my Acer Extensa 5230E from Celeron 900 to Intel Core 2 duo T7300 Merom 65nm , everything works fine , i only have the "02f0 CPU ID: FB No Microcode Update Loaded for Alternate Processor" and and the computer keeps asking f1 to resume or f2 setup at startup.

I've already upgraded bios to the latest avalaible that is 1.36.

I need your help guys.....

I have try to help you out to modify micro code.
I already going to acer's website and download bios for version 1.36 with Extensa 5230E.(Its description is BIOS for the specific models with dual OS (Windows 7 / XP))
Please download it again to confirm your machine model number to avoid or reduce issue occur.

Please extract them and replace original file then you can try to flash bios on your machine. If it can't update correctly please refer to this thread to read how to flash it.

Hi Feng,

I have a different processor, that thread was for T7700, mine is T7300.... I have tried the steps but its still the same error...

my laptop specific model is Acer Extensa 5230E - 2177

hope you can help me with this my friend...

Your cpu is the same stepping(g0) i think,so you can use that bios to update.
Can you paste a cpu-z's screen shot??i need to confirm what stepping of your cpu.

But CPUID's are different. T7300 has 06FA and it's supported by native BIOS. You overwritten microcodes for 06FA with microcodes for 06FB. If problem occurs with native BIOS then CPU is ES, which has CPUID=06F4.

Hello Feng, I had had the same issue of Gondor255 with my Acer Extensa 5230E upgraded with a T7500 Cpu. I flashed the original bios with your modded bios, everything works fine....except the audio speakers don't work no more, though the frontal phones line still works. Can you help me to solve this issue?

Dear Bios-mods forum, I am just dealing with known problem of upgrade Merom based CPU in laptop Acer Extensa 5230e. I jump to T7700 as highest DTP equivalent, but I have bios problem with CPUID.

I used original and genius239 modded bios, but I found problem with diffent revision of my CPU.

CPU-Z is showing:
Family 6 Model F Stepping B
ext family 6 ext. model F revision G0

Is here any solution for this PC?

Tell sSpec of your T7700.
Flash genius239's mod, boot & make a screenshot of regedit with expanded key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DESCRIPTION\System\CentralProcessor\0
