I'm searching for VGN-FE21B latest bios update.
I'd like to ask you about the latest version of the R0170J3 i found here, is it compatible with the VGN-FE21B?

4Гб памяти съел, SSD и камень завелся!!!

но новых плюшек так и не появилось(
2 гига видит - запускает виндовс
3 гига видит - не запускает виндовс, черный экран
4 гига не видит

Hi, excuse for my english. I am traying to update the bios of my vaio vgn-fe31m using the mod BIOS R0270J3 under Win XP but I have an error. Help me pls!
I would like to upgrade the RAM to 4GB to be able to use Windows 7 decently, but this is the error I get when I flash the BIOS (both under FreeDOS and WinXP). I also searched for version 1.40 of WinPhlash but I didn't find it. Can someone please help me? Thanks and compliments for your work.

Addendum:
I found here on the forum the winphlash 1.4.0 program and I updated the BIOS to the modified version R0170J3 and the "Intel" menu appears. Now I can install 4 Gd of Ram (2+2)? Thanks again.

Guys i have a question,will work any of those bios updates on my sony vaio vgn-fe21m with R0130J3?
It already has 4 gigabytes of ddr2 but only t2300e, wanted to update to 5200 but got no post,will for example R0174J3 work,or 200J3(but gave me error about certificate under DOS)
(P.S:if what my model is PCG-7n1m with [censored] Fujitsu 160gb,SMBIOS version is 2.4 from 2006,also would prefer if it would be with way yo remove bios password)

BIOS version 0200J3 has not one, but two issues. First, when booting from DVD or USB Flash Drive, the screen is black. The BIOS video drivers are incompatible with the motherboard. The same issue applies to BIOS versions 0170J3, 0173J3, 0174J3, and 0200J3. BIOS 0200J3 MOD also has a second issue: after turning off the laptop, pressing the power button fails to turn it on again. To turn the laptop back on, briefly unplug the power cord and plug it back in. Only then can you turn it on using the power button.

The problems described above are not present in Bios 0130J3, but Bios 0130J3 does not work with T7xxx series processors and with USBFlash.
