Trying to MOD AMI Bios..seeking HELP
#1
I have 2 different MOBO's that I'm trying to mod the bios of each.

1. MSI K9N6PGM2-V2 (MS-7309 VER:2.3)
Link to Mobo--http://us.msi.com/product/mb/K9N6PGM2V2FOR_EUP_v2.2.html

Found this thread but my current bios was newer than what was posted.
http://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-MS...ic-2-1-Mod

I was only able to get the NEW bios file by using the Live Update ( No Links On MSI website) I then downloaded Andy P's Award-AMI SLIC Tool and used the new BIOS (A60) and SLIC and CERT was the same as the ones used in the above thread OP.

Flashed the untouched A60 first then the modded. Restart into Windows 7 Pro (DELL OEM DISK) and inserted XRM.ms Cert & SLP key for selected version with these steps \/

1. Copy and paste ******.XRM-MS certificate file into C-Drive.

2. After pasting this file into C-Drive, go to START - ALL PROGRAMS - ACCESSORIES - COMMAND PROMPT. Right click on Command Prompt and RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR.

3. When Command Prompt opens, type at the prompt: slmgr.vbs -ilc c:\********.xrm-ms and hit the Enter Button. Wait for the Script Host to answer you with a message that the license was installed successfully....this could take a few minutes and so be patient.

4. After receiving the message that the license was installed successfully, type at the command prompt:

slmgr.vbs -ipk *****-*****-*****-*****-***** (Replace with any OEM SLP Product Key for your installed version of Windows 7 , they are not hard to find).Be Patient and wait for the message to say that the Product Key was successfully installed. After it says successfully installed, reboot the computer.

5. When you are back at your desktop, go to START - COMPUTER - right click on Computer and choose PROPERTIES and see if it is activated with an OEM product ID.

After several tries and even rebooted a few times just to make sure I'm still No able to activate. I Can upload the original and my modded BIOS along with ACPItbls from RW report if it helps. I even tried using a DELL SLIC SLP AND CERT with NO LUCK...

The second board Im trying to mod will wait til I figure this one out.....

I hope this makes some sense to someone.......HELP

I just realized I put this in the wrong section Moderator PLEASE MOVE to appropriate section ( General I believe)
