Unlock GA-P67-DS3-B3 (rev. 1.0)
#1
Hello i have 3770k and this board GA-P67-DS3-B3 (rev. 1.0)

i would like if possible to have unlocked the multiplier from the board (i had other board in the past that i could overclock)

link to the latest bios

GA-P67-DS3-B3 (rev. 1.0)

http://download.gigabyte.eu/FileList/BIO...-b3_f5.exe

thank you

P67 is not fully compatible with IVY bridge, thus you cannot change CPU multiplier past certain amount. I think you could on the UEFI BIOS they put out for P67, but that was end of support for P67 due to Z68 release and all the P67-B3 fiasco stuff.

Looks like only the Rev. 2.0 board has the UEFI Beta BIOS types for this Model

Your best bet is to purchase a Z68 or Z77 board for that CPU. I could modify that UA2 BIOS to flash to your board, but it's a risk, and if it fails and you do not have hardware flash programmer (Like CH341A and SOIC8 test clip cable) then you will not be able to recover. No, dual BIOS will not save you from this type of BIOS update if it fails.

Yes, give me little time.  While you wait, order these (or similar from other sellers) from ebay in case you need to recover Big Grin

Working on this now, maybe 10-15 minutes I will be done and edit in mod BIOS.

Here is mod BIOS!
http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?fil...2987986725

Please flash from DOS, copy the following three files to a bootable USB DOS Stick, from the Modified Folder
autoexec.bat
FLASHEFI.EXE
P67DS32.UA2
Once at DOS Prompt, enter following command >> autoexec.bat

This is warning to anyone else downloading this BIOS.

Regarding "Modified BIOS" Folder

This is Rev. 2.0 BIOS, edited with Rev. 1.0 BIOS ID.
DO NOT FLASH unless you have Rev 1.0 board and want to flash to Rev. 2.0 BIOS
And original requester posted success after flashing.

BIOS may be a failure, dual BIOS recovery will not help, you will need hardware flash programmer to recover
You're Rev. 1.0 board will be Rev. 2.0 after this, and you will not be able to go back to Rev. 1.0 BIOS without
another similar mod the other way around.

You have been warned

Stock Version ID Mismatch will always happen, since that is not for your board. You did try the one in the modified folder correct?

What BIOS are you using now, I will check it's ID, maybe not same as one I used. Please show me CPU-z Motherboard tab image.

Dang, I see it, hold on now! I missed one or something, let me double-check them all again, there's about 5-6 edits. Please wait!
Nope, that wasn't it Sad Let me look around

Maybe we'll have better luck if you do this crossflash on the pre-UEFI BIOS first, please wait for different BIOS and we'll try again.
I've done this many times, but it's always something you know Big Grin

I think that may have been the issue, this BIOS FE before the other, has different ID.
Flash this one, then use the first package, remove previous files from USB, and put only these three now, so there's no confusion.
Then run autoexec.bat again
http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?fil...8062483824

If this will not flash for you still, you can do it with @BIOS, check clear DMI Data box before you flash if you use that (DO NOT use @BIOS for the other BIOS)

If it flashes in, then do the first package again as mentioned, remove all these files from USB and put the others back
