Is it possible to add option in BIOSto be able to boot system from SD card for AOD257 ?

On my D250 it is the same as USB HDD so it should work already.

I registered here just to say thank you. Im a long time lurker but decided it was time to register and give respect where its due.

Camiloml , I for one appreciate the time and work that goes into developing modified bios. This one works perfectly for my D257-1417. I was looking all over on a bios which would allow me to disable the hyperthreading on this thing. Its a dual core HT capable atom, but for some reason , acer in all their wisdom did not include a way to turn the feature off.

An N570 runs SO MUCH better without it!

Again, thank you Camiloml !

since the cpu is capable of VT.
thanks in advance.

My D257 has the N570 . Which does yours have?
N570 does not have VT ....

Hi,

i'm new here and i'm a newbie with bios. I just bought an acer aspire one D257 with windows 7 starter. But i just installed windows XP 32bits for better battery life and performances. I can just get maximum 6h by surfing with wifi ON.

I wanted to underclock and maybe undervolt in order to get a better battery life. But my bios which is the v1.15 is locked.
What should i do for unlock him? I see there is a bios unlocked on the previous pages but i don't know if it's compatible with mine ? There are several model of the acer aspire D257 ? Is there risks for destroyed my netbook if i run the .exe in windows XP ?

Thanks a lot for your help and sorry for my bad english
