Please post a bios download link , the latest i found on acers site for this model is v1.05

v1.07-v1.23 only exists for the Aspire 5730ZG model

Hello thanks for the speedy reply. I used Belarc Advisor. It says my Bios is V 1.07

still need a link?

Please , look underneath your laptop for a sticker that should have the model number on it. its important i dont mod the wrong bios , as you will end up with a dead computer!

The 5730Z and 5730ZG have different downloads availble

Aspire 5730Z/5330 Series (written on above the Model Number)

I think you have a 5730Z , which there isnt a v1.07 bios for! , only v1.05

You say your using Belarc advisor , does that give you a model number?

If not , i would email Acer to double check if you can use the v1.23 bios for the 5730ZG on the 5730Z
