#1
Hi there,

I'm an IT expert but a complete noob at bios modding, but here is my question:
I brought an acer aspire v3 772g. Great laptop but is is missing a raid option
in the bios. Is where a way to turn it on so a get put in two hdd's in Raid 0?

A Attached the original bios file from the Acer site....

With regards

Rexylian

I can only unlock Menu Tabs Power and Avanced, then I needs check which ones options are actived and if We can get more options.
If it is missing some code in bios module, sometime it's possible copy it from bios twin with RAID option active to copy it.
That's it
regards

Look here but don't use that bios it's own customized bios.

Hi there, if your V3-772G came with Intel HM86 chipset then no way, lacks of Raid feature at hardware level

I have tried to unlock on other Acer and It missed at code level I needs to replace some modules for sata and setuputility, get these from an activated bios to put in.
It's a russian roulette !
I don't want brick laptop as many users are done many mistakes.
Unlocked Bios not means all working and if there are no more options (EFI code unlock) it's Dangerous !!! I looked users to increment Video memory, switching off Graphic card eic. and get brick !
So I advice try only safe settings and ask for before doing excessive chenge.
Thanks

Acer V3-772G bios recovery seems to work great, I "bricked" it a lot of times doing tests and all restored without trouble, about Raid don't worry, in your bios mod the menu is there, but doesn't allow to activate, only IDE and AHCI modes available, as the bios sense the lack of Raid at hardware level, so the machine is unable to do it, not the bios.
