Look in you hd attached to another pc if it has HEWLETT-PACKARD folder and into it Cutrent and Previous

If it has both copy previous folder content replacing current and put back on laptop.

Use this, format pendrive FAT32 and unpack this onto it.

Then boot the laptop with the Win+B keys pressed or all four arrows to force recovery.

Love you! It works!

How do I flash the BIOS without whitelist now the right way?

PS: Does not work completly. When having the USB stick attached it works to boot into Win7, but it crashes, because ACPI is not fully supported (bluescreen).
When leaving the usb-stick out I have the same behavior as before.
In both ways the HP logo does not appear and I also got no possibility to get into the BIOS setup and change the settings :/
Fixed it now. Only copying the .bin and the .sig file seems just to provide a startup help.
It seems that the BIOS of the bin is loaded partly into ram or whatever, but not flashed into the "BIOS chip".

Here is the full folder that needs to be copied to the USB stick (works at least when having that content on a FAT32 partition on the internal HDD).

Not sure what is missing, but I think the BIOSUpdate folder, which is also in my archive includes the Flasher to apply the BIOS to the "BIOS chip" (-> don't know how it is called exactly).

[ Hope it will fix other notebooks here, too Smile ]

Exclamation
While using Virtualbox to work on Ubuntu packaging for different projects. I need to test sometimes packages in fresh installed systems.
Using amd64 virtualmachines I need VT-x (Virtualization Technology) enabled.
A fresh flashed BIOS (original and modded) disable this function, so enabling is needed after flashing.
But enabling this function after flashing the modded BIOS ruins the BIOS and makes it unpossible to reboot, while the screen keeps black. Recovering the BIOS is just possible via USB stick as explained in the first post and removing the chip for the first boot.

Could you fix that problem?

Nope, that's RSA signed bios problem, that suddenly semibricks the computer, that's the risk. And untill now no one (as far as i know) is able to fix that.

Couldn't you make a VT-x enabled BIOS image?

I can of course, but maybe the brick is even harder to repair after Smile If you want to test it.... tell me and i will change that option to be enabled by default.

What do you mean exactly with "maybe the brick is even harder to repair after?"

Sure, I would be interested in testing it.
I can also think about enabling this option in your next firmwares. When thinking about people who own Win7 Professional they would not be able to use the WindowsXP mode without VT-x. Thats what I read about the VT-x mode Smile

Maybe enabling it with not supported processor may brick it and only way to recover could be desolder bios chip and reflash externally by dedicated hardware.

So nothing that would be risky for me at the moment.
I'll try it out and give feedback here.
Hope it will work and I won't need to do any soldering (fingers crossed) Smile
