Working... thx again
Hi,

I would like to upgrade the wifi card in my Lenovo Z50-70 (the new card should arrive tomorrow). But since the new card (Intel AC-7265) most probably is locked by the bios I would like to ask if someone could help me to get rid of the whitelist.

-Motherboard Model: Lenovo Z50-70 (Lenovo 20354 Lancer 5A5)
-Bios Version: 9BCN31WW
-Bios Date: 04/20/2015
-Bios Lenovo: https://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mob...cn31ww.exe
-Bios Backup: http://rghost.net/6qX8fhbGS
-Results BackupFPT: http://rghost.net/6pR8SBrHn
-Original wifi card: Realtek RTL8723BE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC

-New wifi card: Intel Centrino Advanced-AC 7265 PCI-E M.2 (7265.NGWG.W)

Your help is highly appreciated, thanks in advance!

Thanks for your extremely fast response! I will let you know if it worked (as said above, the new wifi card still has to be delivered).

Hi Oleh,

I just tried to flash your modified bios but unfortunately no success (although following your instructions). I receive the following error:

It seems that this is a common error. Are there other solutions than downgrading to an earlier bios-version (which apparently also not always works)?
BIOS version should be decreased

Hi Oleh,

I just downgraded my BIOS. Apparently there is a problem with my drive caddy (I have have a second HDD in there) and older BIOS versions (9bcn25ww, 9bcn26ww): Abysmal performance and I/O errors. These problems don't occur with the newer versions (9bcn29ww, 9bcn31ww). Since HDD performance is more important for me I will stick to 9bcn31ww and my Realtek RTL8723BE. Sorry for wasting your time.
