I have an HP Pavilion dv4-1431us running InsydeH2O BIOS F.66 Rev. 3.5 (extracted from sp48847.exe). The main BIOS file is 30F7F665.FD.I’m trying to install a Realtek RTL8188CE WiFi card (HP P/N 639967-001, SPS 640926-001, PCI ID VEN_10EC & DEV_8176).I followed the classic whitelist removal guide (the one with EZH2O / WinHex / debug + changing 75 to EB) and also tried the modern UEFITool method:
Searched the full .FD for the 104-U string (31 00 30 00 34 00 2d 00 55 and the shortened 31 00 30 00 34 00) → not found.
Extracted all 9 PE32 modules with UEFITool 0.28.0.
Searched every extracted .bin for my card ID (10 EC 81 76), common Broadcom IDs (14 E4), Atheros (16 8C), and other Realtek (10 EC) → nothing found.
I saw that TTAV134 made a whitelist-removed mod specifically for the dv4-1xxx / Compaq CQ40/CQ45 series using the exact same sp48847.exe files (including 30F7F665.FD, 30F7F664.FD, etc.). The old SendSpace link for “HP DV4-1xxx_Compaq_CQ40_CQ45_series_INTEL_30F7F66_sp48847_no_whitelist_by_TTAV134.zip” is dead.Would someone be able to:
Re-upload the TTAV134 mod for these exact files, or
Mod my 30F7F665.FD to remove the WLAN whitelist (and preferably WWAN too)?
I came across this post https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/archive/...41620.html which unlocked AHCI on Acer EG31M ICH7 motherboard. I tried it on my Acer Veriton M265 system and it worked. I also have another EG31M board from Gigabyte and am wondering if AHCI can also be unlocked on this Gigabyte's EG31M-S2 Rev2.0 ICH7 motherboard using BIOS FCD version.
Greetings,
I have a X470 Master SLI a/c which is bricked after a BIOS update.
I've been successful in trying to hook up my CH341A + 1.8v adapter to the BIOS_PH pinout and can read the BIOS chip (MX25U25643G 1.8v, 256, 32MB)
However I forgot to dump the bricked BIOS out and flash the Instant Flash image from ASRock website, which I guess is missing the descriptor + AMD PSP, now I'm stuck with no other way around.
Does anyone have a full dump of a working unit, or any dump of the ASRock X470 family for stitching is okay
Any help is appreciated
P/S: Apparently all the Instant Flash BIOS file from ASRock website does have AMD PSP at 0x0020000, but even after successfully programmed and verified it still not POST
