Will try this weekend and let you know Monday.

Yes, but if It will rick laptop You will have to Recovery using old Bios Recovery File (normaly You can find them into HP_TOOLS hidden partition) !
Regards

If it bricks the laptop, how would the laptop start with the old hard disk that has the backup BIOS? The USB stick recovery doesn't seem to work (see my post #16 https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-R...9#pid79639).

Thank you again.

Have You tried the procedure ?
It doesn't work ?
Don't proceed !!!
I don't know the esit Sad

Hi BDMaster,

I tried the modded bios but Insyde does not work. When I click Start, it comes back with this error message:

I couldn't get the USB stick recovery to work previously either (see this post https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-R...9#pid79639) so looks like the BIOS can't be changed. Anything else to try?

Thanks again for all your help, BDMaster.

Hi friend,

I tried the patched version but it still does not work. When I click start, after a few minutes it comes back with this error message:

And here is a picture of InsydeFlash with the error message moved out of the way if this helps:

I think this BIOS would be difficult to mod so perhaps just leave it if you think this is not possible. Anything else you want me to check Sir?

Thank you again all your help BDMaster.

I downloaded sp60935 or 0338DF08.bin from someone here at this site - some time ago when it was here.

I should of never removed it from my BIOS - I should of stored it better. Perhaps I was just lucky or lost the one that worked.

I did store it - I tried what I stored. Now none of them work. Lost the one that did work enough to use the card.

The few problems I had - check cards for differences. Some cards run cooler - some cards overheat.

I found the card that does not overheat - runs cooler than original. Will not connect to the internet - must restart with every start

It was great - after I restarted. I could connect to the internet - therefore It is possible for a BIOS Mod to happen.
