[REQUEST] Lenovo Thinkpad W530 (G5ETxxWW) Whitelist Removal

5 months later. This is a pretty decent laptop. Has no one modded this yet? i'm willing to donate.

Sadly, I now find myself with WLAN service on HSPA for which T-Mobile is moving to LTE.

Unless I can get the whitelist broken to add a NEW WLAN card, I lose all my access via the internal card.

UEFI is not a Manufacturer work, but all togheter, including Intel and AMD CPU Producers and last but not least Microsoft
You think It's so easy ? Svl7 (TechInferno Moderator) has done a tool to
bypass Error 28 (Eeprom protect error) but They modified Flashing Tools
to Hard Protect Eeproms getting error 280 so game over

Do you think this will work on the W530 and T430s before I buy it?

I haven't seen a modded bios for these laptops yet but like you said, it would be easy with the PROs.

EDIT: I actually bought it (total of $10). Im not sure if it will work but I have a few days to research since its coming from CHina.

I have a programmer, just need a modified BIOS. I need:

- WiFi/WWAN whitelist disabled (RussianT530 posted some information here)
- Prevent bit 20 of MSR 0x194 from being set to 1

If mod is failed then oops...you must save dumps of chips before.
Anyway, you can solve your request for free and quickly.
I need flashing folder with all components, bios images and WinFlash utility.
If your bios is Phoenix then i can unlock Advanced tab too.
I want create universal limited mod and add Intel AC7260 adapter to whitelist.

Sounds good! I'd be happy to help. But how do you want to flash without a programmer? The T/W/X*30 Thinkpads will not allow it.

I'll get you a dump of the chip as soon as I have the time.
