[REQUEST] Lenovo Thinkpad W530 (G5ETxxWW) Whitelist Removal
#81
Hi,

I have W530. I want to buy XM CPU and overclock (Does Advanced Tab allow overclocking?). I also want to remove white-list. Will your modded BIOS let me do this?

I've flashed EEPROM chips before but never BIOS chip. Can you recommend flashing tool? (EZP2010 + SOIC8 Clip will do?) Can you send me BIOS files Da Vinci Code? I'll donate $20AUD?

Thanks so much!

Edit: Or are these files specific to each laptop, despite me also having a W530? If so I can run the tools and post info. Smile Should I do this?

Dear Sirs
Just bought a used W530 on ebay (i7-3740QM, K2000M, FHD).
Could you please kindly share BIOS with white-listed WWANs/Overclocking (not sure if it's possible on 3740QM though)?
I have a CH341A and SOIC8 clip so I can flash it and test it on my hardware.
Thank you in advance!

So have you removed the whitelist restrictions from the W530 in this thread?
That is all I need to get around the WWAN issue I am having.
If so, where do I get it?

Sadly, I now find myself with WLAN service on HSPA for which T-Mobile is moving to LTE.

Unless I can get the whitelist broken to add a NEW WLAN card, I lose all my access via the internal card.

I posted originally here 2 years ago and sadly, no progress has been made.

Hi friend,
UEFI is not a Manufacturer work, but all togheter, including Intel and AMD CPU Producers and last but not least Microsoft Wink
You think It's so easy ? Svl7 (TechInferno Moderator) has done a tool to
bypass Error 28 (Eeprom protect error) but They modified Flashing Tools
to Hard Protect Eeproms getting error 280 so game over Wink
Actualy the best solution is this one :

P.S. Bios Mod is not a problem ! to reflash Bios Mod is the issue !!!
Sorry if taken wrong. I do NOT assume it is easy. I do highly technical work, and know it is convoluted at best at times.

I was not disappointed with you guys, just disappointed that Lenovo does something this stupid and that I have to come up with some kluge to a real life need....
