I'm comfortable with electronics and not afraid to open this thing up or desolder/resolder if I have to. What do I gotta do to reprogram the BIOS?

I am seeking for the whitelist to be removed from my current bios on my W540. The Current bios version installed in GNET61WW 2.09 This bios version is very old and newer bios revisions disable downgrading bios while this version did not implement that security feature. The purpose of the white list removal is because I have an issue with my wifi card intel 7260 because it continues to drop the SSID constantly. I have purchased to an Intel 9260NGW as an upgraded replacement and discovered how the wonderful Lenovo bios managed to disable boot once it discovered the new network card. If this is something you can resolve for me I will pay. Thank You.

Hi

I'm requesting the wifi whitelist removal for the following laptop so I can upgrade the wifi card.

Lenovo W540 (Model 20BGCT01WW)

Bios has been updated to latest v2.7 before dump using CH341A programmer.

( Original Bios Link : https://download.lenovo.com/pccbbs/mobiles/gnuj34us.exe )

I  have files from both Bios chips.

Please let me know if I need to provide any other info.

Happy to donate if it all works out Smile

Thanks
