[REQUEST] Sony VAIO VGN-FW160AE Bios Unlock
#1
Hi, everyone!
Thank you for your time and effort into solving my issue.

I recently upgraded my old VAIO VGN-FW160AE laptop processor (to X9100) and am struggling with the processor's multiplier fluctuation, and I am hoping that an unlocked BIOS can help me with this.
Can you guys help me out with this?

BIOS
Brand: American Megatrends Inc.
Version: R0250Y0
Date: 06/05/2008

I can't find my BIOS for download though. Can anyone please help me out?

I thank you very much in advance!

Best regards,

Hello again! Smile

I don't know if it helps, but I saved my BIOS through CPU-Z. It gave me the text file attached.

Thank you very much for your kindness!

Best regards,

Hi, Maxinator500
How are you doing today?

Thank you very much for your reply! I just checked the files.
However, when I try to upgrade my computer freezes. I think it does nothing, since I'm starting my computer normally.
Plus, before flashing, it's said the ROMID is different, and somewhat incompatible.
Do you know if it is possible to work this out somehow?

Hey! Thank you for your time and effort into giving me a hand with this! =)
Much appreciated.

Best regards,

First, let's make sure that the problem is in my unlocked BIOS. Try installing one of the original bios supported by your device: it's any executable file from this internet location that has "Y0.0.0.0" in its description. Use the page search function.
Let me know if upgrade to original BIOS works for you.
