I got my E5450 SLBBM from AliExpress and works very well on this board, even at full blast with Prime95 its stable, you really need a good cooler for these Xeons, stock one will not work lol, runs full speed 3000mhz, those CPU-Z screenshots that say 2000mhz is because that is the idle speed of these, which is complety normal

Comfirm the mod are working well at E5450 with Win10 64bit version 1809 and 21H2.
And I also make the conclusion for the whole progress. It may help you if you wanna update your 775 system to 771 CPU.
1.Check the motherboard model, and then search for the relevant BIOS. If there is no BIOS, you need to fresh the microcode of the relevant CPU in BIOS by yourself
2.Buy CPU and the adapter, if the welder can try to own welding, because the 771 and 775 definition pin has 2 need to be switched
3.you need to cut the motherboard guard bulge, or grinding CPU to make sure you 771 CPU can fit in the 775 socket.
4.Install the CPU on your motherboard, then clear the BIOS battery or load default.
5.Enter the system to delete the original CPU subject in the device management, and then refresh it.

thanks a lot Death Bringer!!!
Oh,by the way I find out some motherboard don't need adapter or welding on the 771CPU,just swicth a Jumper can also finish the seceond step.

Hello friends, I have an MS-7525 motherboard and I've just acquired a Q8400 Quad Core processor. Can I install and run this processor without modding the BIOS? If I need to mod the BIOS, which modded BIOS should I download? Could you please help me?
