HP EliteDesk 705 G5 SFF: CPU Upgrade
#1
I'm trying to install a Ryzen 7 Pro 3700 into my 705 G5 SFF.  It's listed as compatible on the HP support document.  When installed the system won't even post.  Nothing on the display.  No typical HP Sure Start logo at normal boot.  Can't enter BIOS.  I have a discrete GPU already installed (HP Radeon RX 550X). CPU works in another brand motherboard (ASUS, don't remember the model). Everything works as it should with the Ryzen 5 Pro 3400G installed/reinstalled.

So I want to confirm that it's compatible in the BIOS, and if not then have it added.

Thanks in advance.

Hi i want to buy 705 G5 SFF it's with ryzen 3 3200g, and i would to install 4650g/5600g/4600g. I found on official website that pc only support 3000 series and not all models (only pro can work). I think if that mobo can run ryzen 9 3900 pro it should be enough for others strong CPUs. The motherboard has a AMD PRO 560 chipset.

Did someone try use newer series of CPUs?
Maybe some bios mods can change cpu support in this pc?
Im newbie in this space (bios modding) , so Im looking for knowledge and help.
