I'm running ubuntu 12.04 on my e220s, so I'm trying to figure out an alternate method - perhaps a freedos usb stick and the installer.

I'm running Bios version 1.16 (8jet34ww)

Is there a safe method of backing off a bios update from freedos?

I just upgraded my system with SSD and it got too slow....
