[REQUEST] Acer Aspire E1-572(G,P) Bios Unlock
#11
Many modders guys know that manufacturers as Acer have minor products Sector = Gateway
or have bought company as Acer with Packard Bell and so Asus = Asrock etc.
You have to find infos on th net !
For your question, I can explain some of it ! if You want to check or
look similitude of more bioses there isn't any other way to compare both of them.
I use HexWorkshop, but there is HexHD too or other, You know that if they are same
there isn't any dfferences so else if it developed for other pc it's compatible.
May be on other pc there are different graphic card or WiFi card, but few differences.
How to mod there is a little Guide I have done, but stopped then here :

http://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-He...2#pid66102

It's explained almost of all, but I haven't done else as user was too much invasive.
You have to find, search, ask, and have too get luck to find someone want to explain.

Hi BDMaster,

thanks for all your pointers on the web.
I found and compared with other BIOSes...

But from my research - could it be, that my BIOS is RSA signed/locked (quite new machine)!?
Like the guy here: http://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-RE...ire-E1-532

If it helps, I can upload these files - just let me know.

Thank you!

Ok I let help You understand few things about RSA and UEFI or banking transaction
RSA from :

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RSA
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RSA_(cryptosystem)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RSA_Security

Video channel TV uses RSA, Home Banking uses RSA key 2048bit unbreakable !

Microsoft has impost to use it to verify all module driver to insert into a bios and for any manipulation They have Private Key and get money from manifacturers to give the hash (SHA) to vaidate module for customers.
They protect Win8 from hackers and cam check everything came in pc.
So any bios developers a Insyde Or AMI or Phoenix have to introduce an bios protection, for Acer is SecureBoot into bios and SecureFlash to protect bios self.
The main RSA implementing is the HP since 2009 They was developing bios RSA signed 1024bit protected and now with 2048bit They have unlockable bios (You can find on-line bios after sp6xxxx.exe are inviolable) !
So ScureBoot and Secure Flash are your problem as new bios using tools as Intel FPT (first time It is seen was AMI leaked for error a copy of it in a bios update)
this tool is powered and is only for developers.
Then many experiments are done and many furthers protections are borned so now
the last to protect completly Eeprom error 280 !!!
I don't know if producers will implement this protection on all bioses, but it's hard to break.
I found that are to ways to reflash moddded bioses :

1. Recovery Mode using Bios Pure (decapsulated)
2. FPT mode using progs to unprotect Eeprom to write (prr or prr2)
But without hope with error 280.

the 1st give an bios generalized so every user who have the same model can use it to update own laptop.
the 2nd is customized as It needs a biosbackup and it contains UUID, Laptop Serial, MZ serial, all persoal data, so It's only for user who make bios backup.

I think it's enough for now !
