have you verified, that awdflash.exe and bios.bin are there on the root-dir of the boot-cd? or maybe, there is just another drive associated to the CD itself and the DOS boots of a CD into a RAM-Drive? I will try the DOS622.iso later this day and maybe I can tell you more. I will also try the w98.iso because it seems to be a little more configurable...
Have a nice day!

Sometimes you just have to try to be sure it is not working...

Thank you MrTangoWhisky, for doing that for me. Yes, I had those files in the root dir of the CD. About the RAM drive, I have no idea, lol. I don't think that's the case, but I have been known to be incorrect on occasion.

The whole reason I'm doing this is because I bought a quad core processor; and for my motherboard to see it I have to flash the bios. The new processor has a FSB of 1333, my current one is 800. The bios update allows my m/b to recognize the 1333 FSB cpu's. If I don't get this task completed, and my new parts come (including the floppy drive with media card reader) I'll give that a shot. If (for some reason) I still can't update it even with the floppy, I'll just buy a new board! I'd hate to because I paid soo much for this one ($300 new), but I will replace it if I have to.

Again, thank you to everyone for helping me with this.
