[REQUEST] Lenovo G580 (62CNxxWW) Whitelist removal
(10-30-2014, 08:43 AM)zaid.riadh Wrote: Ok sir...
After I put Modified folder to the flash and boot it boots and says
C:\
What exactly shall I do now?

Well i ran flash.bat but it says error 28 protected rang Sad
Is there no way to fix that?

It present an Screen Shot where say "Press enter to continue" !!!
Can You upload a Screen Shot as I can see too what is happen ?
There are two chances or You are not pressing enter and We can progress or your Eeprom is Write Protected and We have an Big Issue and only an HW SPI PGM can solve It.
Let me know

Sir, I want to use the AR5B195 because it works on OS X and has a bluetooth, I'm currently using the AR5B95 which is supported by my bios.
Instead of flashing my bios, can I rebrand or flash the hardware ids for the AR5B95 to the new AR5B195 on different laptop?

BDMaster Hello!
Thanks for the quick reply

I tried to flash the bios on Lenovo old version but lenovo disabled this feature and I was able to flush only this version from the official website:
http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobi...7ww_64.exe

all others will generate an error
Quote:Error 28: Protected Range Registers are currently set by BIOS, preventing flash access. site:www.bios-mods.com

I hope you can squeeze in a CAP file that I was able to use the official program for flashing

Hi friend,
if You tried alread to flash by FPT tool and got Error 28 without bypassing It, now We cannot do anything more
as all Boses are actualy Capsulated and Signed so original cannot be modified and reflashed, but only Backup
when Eeprom is not Protectedm ineed your is Write Protect !!!
I am sorry Sad You can do only using an HW SPI PGM, look here :

https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-R...5#pid74575

But if do Youwant to try here is your Bios Mod :

http://rghost.net/58849076

It didn't work on flashing. I tried both instructions and FPT.exe still no good says protected registers error. Is there a different method to flash this without getting an eprom flasher on eBay some where?
