SLIC 2.1 Request for Foxconn A690GM2MA-8KRS2H
#1
I have looked around and can't seem to find a modded bios for my motherboard. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Motherboard Manufacturer and Model : Foxconn A690GM2MA-8KRS2H
-Bios Revision : 697F1P45
-Bios Type : AMI
-Bios Link : http://www.foxconnsupport.com/download.a...-us0000307&category=C000000001&series=en-us0000007&keywords=&sort=BIOS

I attached the most recent BIOS file I could find.

Thanks!

Here you go , i used HP 2.1 SLIC + Certificate Included:-

1. Copy and paste ******.XRM-MS certificate file into C-Drive.

2. After pasting this file into C-Drive, go to START - ALL PROGRAMS - ACCESSORIES - COMMAND PROMPT. Right click on Command Prompt and RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR.

3. When Command Prompt opens, type at the prompt: slmgr.vbs -ilc c:\********.xrm-ms and hit the Enter Button. Wait for the Script Host to answer you with a message that the license was installed successfully....this could take a few minutes and so be patient.

4. After receiving the message that the license was installed successfully, type at the command prompt:

slmgr.vbs -ipk *****-*****-*****-*****-***** (Replace with any OEM SLP Product Key for your installed version of Windows 7 , they are not hard to find).Be Patient and wait for the message to say that the Product Key was successfully installed. After it says successfully installed, reboot the computer.

5. When you are back at your desktop, go to START - COMPUTER - right click on Computer and choose PROPERTIES and see if it is activated with an OEM product ID.

Thanks for the quick response.

I flashed the bios ok and the slic seems to work fine. THe only trouble I am having is when I start the computer, it says bios checksum bad. I tried clearing the bios, but it still does it. Any ideas?

Thanks for the help.

By clearing the bios do you mean removing the CMOS battery or reseteting bios defaults? Id do both

Switch Off PC

Unplug from Mains

Open Up!

Remove CMOS Battery From Motherboard

Wait 5 Minutes (It has to be 5 minutes aswell , not 30 seconds!)

Replace battery

Boot into BIOS

Load all Default Settings

Save Changes

Reboot

Let me know how you get along

I tried what you said...no go. Still CMOS Checksum Bad.

I'm going to try flashing with an unmodded bios and see if that works
OK I figured it out....I was flashing manually using afudos. I didn't realize I was supposed to use the .bat file included. It flashed a bunch more stuff that I was manually. It's working fine now.

Thanks for the mod!! And for the help. Awesome site!
