Request for - Advanced menu, specifically the 'platform features' for the acpi tables, the temperatures at which the fan turns on full power and cpu throttles down etc.

cool, thanks =-) will test it next week when my laptop gets back to me.
It overheated (even had it on a cooler) apparently and had to send for repairs =-0
will update when its done =-)

had bios f.20 updated to f.21 no issues
tried bios update provided in this thread and failed
downgraded to f.20 and tried bios update and failed
dont know if these are correct steps just thought i would try

Many times is needed to remove hptools partition to be able to flash the mods, you encounter "Bios update failed" messages.

Are you talking about the recovery partition?

worked perfect no bricks I did have to get rid of the hp tools for it to work

how did you get the fusion utility to work.....
I enabled support in bios
But keeps saying failed to connect to critical service

But my hp recovery disks arent working?
I tried going back to a older bios
did not work

Thanks! I'm mainly interested in getting the fan to kick in at a lower temperature. Got the BIOS to install without an issue. Just not sure where to start, lol. So much more stuff there.

What will the Hardware Temperature Control (HTC) Hysteresis do? Will that help me in any way?
