[test] e-machines e627
#1
Hi,

I'm doing my MCITP course and really need the virtualization to be enabled that both my upgraded CPU and the chipset supports.

http://support.gateway.com/us/en/emac/product/
Product Category: Notebook
Product Series: E Series
Product Model: E627

Is there anybody that could take a look at this bios for me please and unlock the hidden menu to hopefully allow hardware V?

I can't find Andys tool but I believe my bios isn't RSA'd however I accept the risks should it be.

Thanks in advance.

Thank you very much for the file - that was fast!!

That updated bios gave me loads of options but hasn't unlocked the hardware virtualisation, however both the chipset and the cpu support it.

ok, will look if that options are still hidden

This is map of all the available options your bios supports.

Look at 0xfe: SVM Support, can you see that option in your bios menu? It should be under "Power -> Advanced CPU Control".

uhg! i have had the same problem.

I have e627 and I had the tf-20 1.6 ghz processor.

my amd-V actually worked! I upgrade to a new processor, tl-60 which is supposed to have AMD-V and it stopped.

Virtualbox and the tool from amd said it was just disabled in the bios.

I looked in your signature (bios list?) and I couldnt find anything that matched either the mobo code or the machine code e627.

Can you please give me the link to the bios in question?

Thank you so much,

Ryan
