Hello,

i don´t know if the 5750G have a whitelist, but i want to Upgrade my Wifi card, and ordered a new one.

Here is my Bios Backup: http://rghost.net/50747095

I´am waiting for the new Card. The HW-IDs from the old one are:

PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_002E&SUBSYS_E034105B&REV_01
PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_002E&SUBSYS_E034105B

I been going crazy to install my Intel 6235.

Hi to everyone! First, congratulations for the excellent forum and support you provide to so many people!

I have been for some hours investigating the reason why the new wireless card I bought does not work on my Acer Aspire 5750 Laptop. I have see some discussing here that Acer does not have whitelists.

Is this true? If it is true why can't acer owners put new Wifi cards?

Any help would very much appreciated.

My laptop is:
Acer Aspire 5750; Mainboard: HM65 (JE50_HR); Bios Version: 1.21; Windows 7 64 bit
Link to bios: http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/...9430577449&Step1=NOTEBOOK&Step2=ASPIRE&Step3=ASPIRE%205750&OS=711&LC=en&BC=ACER&SC=EMEA_27

Original Wifi Card: Atheros AR5B97
PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_002E&SUBSYS_E034105B&REV_01
PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_002E&SUBSYS_E034105B
PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_002E&CC_028000
PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_002E&CC_0280

New Wifi Card: Intel 6235
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_088E&SUBSYS_40608086&REV_24
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_088E&SUBSYS_40608086
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_088E&CC_028000
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_088E&CC_0280

Thank you very much in advance for any support.

Additional information:
1- I have no error message for the card. It simply does not detect any wireless's!
2- When running a software from Acer for Hardware detection it still detects my wireless as being realtek even if my intel Wifi card is inserted

Hi all,

Sorry for the "pressure" but would you be able to help?
The reason why I am asking is because tomorrow will be the last day for me to be able to return the item.

Thank you.

It sounds like it's an issue with hardware limitations. Your computer just isn't able to use that wifi card. In addition, Acer has never implemented wifif whitelists in theri bios.

Hi! Thank you for your opinion. I am returning the card.

Cheers
