Hi, I have an Acer E5-521G-60BX. It would be wonderful if someone could unlock the advanced menu. I'm specifically looking for the setting that allows me to change the switchable graphics to fixed mode.
Attached is the BIOS that I extracted via command prompt using the InsydeH2O flash utility.
Z5WAEX64.bin (Size: 8 MB / Downloads: 73)
Unfortunately Acer hasn't released any updates for this laptop yet so I can't extract the BIOS from an update.
Screenshot of current menus:

Thanks in advance for any help.

Kept getting "unsupported method" error when running as admin under Windows 8.1 x64. Extracted it using winrar and ran GO.BAT as admin.

You have an AMD CPU ?
FPT cannot backup the Bios, so We have an issue as InsydeFlash backupped your Bios, but We cannot reflash It back.
I will reply for a solution.
Let me know

We can try to use Flashit :
http://www.mediafire.com/download/004wmc...t+Tool.zip#!
Flashit usage :
flashit filename /ALL
If You look into result folder You'll find insydeBAK.BIN file so can try to reflash It
using this comand from Dos :
flashit insydeBAK.BIN /ALL
You have to prepare an USB Dos Formatted Bootable Stick :
http://www.howtogeek.com/136987/how-to-c...usb-drive/
https://app.box.com/s/w8xgrhpwf2nx0kamfkc0
Copy flashit.exe tool and insydeBAK.BIN into It then disable SecureBoot and Set Legacy Bios USB
and boot from USB Dos, then run that comand.

I do. Specifically it's an AMD A6-6310 APU.
Thanks for all the time you've spent so far helping me.

Ok friend,
try to use this version (remember to rename your Bios.bin file as NEW.ROM is filename Bios Mod used into the example) :
http://forum.notebookreview.com/sony/473...ost7932873
and use this comand from CLI C:\ after booting from USB (remember to rename your Bios.bin file as NEW.ROM) :
FLASHZ1 NEW.ROM /F
Let me know
Regards
P.S. It seems same situation like here : https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-R...val?page=3

Unfortunately when I try flashing using that method, I get the error: "bios did not support this version of flash."
I checked out https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-R...val?page=3 and decided to order the BIOS programming hardware that was mentioned. The guide seems pretty easy to follow so I'll update this thread when the parts arrive and let you know what happens.
Thanks again for all of your help so far!
