ASUS P5K-VM AHCI Unlock Request

Need ASUS P5K-VM AHCI Unlocked and selectable on the Intel ICH9.

Any help is appreciated. If you don't have the time to do it, Please reply or PM me with information to how it is done and I will mod the BIOS, myself.

Also any additional tutorials and information on AMI BIOS modding for AHCI will be very helpful, as I am trying to learn as much as possible about BIOS modding.

use this tool AMIBcp 3.26 and unlock your feature You want henn save and flash It !
To modify you Bios You have to set Access/Use to USER (or TILE) and Failsafe - Optimal
to everything is better for You so if Disabled You change in Enabled etc.
There are no Tutorial on line for AMI Bios I am sorry !

I have been doing a lot of work on this . Mostly learning.

I have a BIOS to test, but I don't have the P5K-VM in a PC, yet.

I'll test in a few days and let you know how it works.

I have the mod to test, but my P5K-VM is bad. No video. Even tried several different video cards.
I never even had a chance to update the bios and try the update.

If anyone wants to try the mod, let me know. I'll send it to you.

I completed this mod for you.
I guess the option "Configure SATA as" IDE value is available only?
To enable AHCI option load default or optimal settings in Exit tab.
I have mb ASUS with same options and installed OS X (it needs AHCI) and unlock AHCI mode.
Please, report after flashing.

Hi,

I'm resurrecting my old P5k-VM motherboard with some improvements. I found that it has no AHCI support on the SATA controller. I've found some bioses for other P5k motherboards in this forum but not for the VM.

Attached is the latest 1001 bios (it has also SLIC already included). Could someone please help me enabling AHCI?
