#11
can you edit this bios so that the fsb works?

Edit: i have this bios and it is unlocked but my problem is that the changes i make are not saving, they are saving in the bios but when i boot and open pc wizard its still shows the factory settings

According to what was unlocked, the FSB is included. Whatever is unlocked and posted is the most you will get out of the bios.

Aas I mentioned in my previous post, these settings ARE unlocked. There isn't any other possible mod than the ones listed.

But you have yet to answer either of my questions, is it possible to edit the bios or can you help me with saving the settings?

I'm extremely sorry for the mis communication, I didnt see the second line in the original post. I would try to reset to defaults, pick the settings you want to save. Save and then unplug the computer before the restart, wait 60 seconds, then plug in. This seems to work for some systems, so lets give that a go first.

Okay, so now its beginning to look like an interesting suspect issue, so now its time to troubleshoot. The next step would be to try to remove your CMOS battery for 15 minutes, pop it back in, change settings, unplug and replug, and see if it gives it a kick.

this is a completely factory Aspire E380 4400 system and alot of the people have been telling me that its not even worth trying to overclock it because it will fry the entire computer, but im not looking to max out its cpu abilities i just want to overclock it a bit more as long as its safe so could you just tell me if its worth the hassle?
