Asus Rampage III Extreme ZioMod Bios (Latest: 1601_S17)
Well, I don't want to kill your hopes, but I don't think your problems are related to the base bios version. The only difference between 1502 and 1601 is CPU compatibility table and some corrections of typos in bios menus.

mr.ZioGTS I found that the problem is 1601 original bios and not your mods. I don't know what asus changed in this bios but for some reason its changing the device id of my system and that's why I loose my activation of Microsoft office 2010. I know that its the 1601 original bios because I flashed it as it is clean without mods and I have problem.
so mr.ZioGTS I will be very happy if you mod for me the original 1502 bios with these updates you already put in 1601 bios:

Intel® ICH10R SATA RAID Controller: v11.5.0.1582
Marvell 91xx SATA 6G Controller - Bios : v1.0.0.1033*
Marvell 91xx SATA 6G Controller - Firmware: v2.2.0.1125*
Marvell 91xx SATA 6G Controller - Bootloader: v1.0.1.0002b*
JMicron JMB36X Controller: v1.07.28
Intel® 82567V-2 Gigabit Network: v1.3.95
SLIC 2.1: ASUS (SSV3/MMtool method)

thank u for all mr.ZioGTS.
I hope you can do this for me.
be well my friend.
Spiros.

wow you are fast mr.ZioGTS!!! thank you so much for this!!!
ok, now the results:
finally with this modded 1502 bios you made system running perfect again
and the activation of Microsoft office 2010 stays there. GREAT WORK my friend!!!
thank you so much!!!!
the only problem that I have is that I see in safely remove hardware the Marvell 91xx config.
in devices manager I have 2 Marvell 91xx config that seems installed ok. I also see in control panel in display
devices and printers the Marvell 91xx config as unknown.
I installed all the latest drivers
intel_rst_11.6.0.1030,
Intel_Chipset_9.3.0.1021,
Marvell_9xxx_1.2.0.1027
but this stays there. is there a working solution for this?
also which are the best drivers for our mobo with this bios with updated roms?
I have to say that I have Windows 8 Enterprise. I tested the bios in clean install of Win 8 to check the problem
with the Marvell 91xx config and also I checked in clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate.
in Win 7 I don't have the Marvell 91xx config problem.
in Win 8 I have the Marvell 91xx config problem.
maybe it is the way that Win 8 displays devices?
I have to say that I don't have connected in sata 6G controller a disc and from bios all options are for AHCI.
maybe that's why Win 8 displays it?
i'm waiting for your thoughts!!!
thank you again mr.ZioGTS!!! be well.
Spiros

I'm sorry Spiros, I don't have Windows 8 so I can't tell for sure. Maybe Marvell driver is not fully compatible with Win8. You are already using the latest drivers for everything, so I can't suggest anything better. If you don't use the Marvell controller, just disable it in Bios and uninstall the drivers... you'll free up some resources and get rid of the Marvell 91xx config problem.
