Emachines D725 Cpu upgrade to a Core2Extreme X9000
#1
Brick
Hello friends, I want to ask you for help with this.
I have an emachines D725 with GL40 chipset and currently running an amazing Core2Duo T9500, so good, but I was wondering if it was possible to upgrade to a Core2Extreme X9000.
I think in theory it is possible, the two processors are exactly the same except for the power consumption (T9500 35W - X9000 44W), so I bought one Tongue , specifically the SLAQJ C0 010676, I thought there would be no problem but it did not work, it just turns on but nothing more. I was going to give up but I thought it might be due to some microcode update, but being a Phoenix BIOS I have not managed to insert the new microcode.
In summary It doesn't boot / it shows no error, only black screen (on) the pc is always on.

Can someone help me inject the new microcode into the BIOS? do you think that could be the problem?

Thanks for your help!

in the archives I will leave the latest BIOS, Microcode and some photos of my attempt.

Bad news - you have fake CPU.
Look at labels on real X9000 (SLAQJ) - https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/...wOaRXL.jpg

What!! for real? I'm shocked ... and the labels should be just those or can they vary depending on the manufacture?

There are many fake X9000 & X9100
The label at the bottom must be the same. And intervals between symbols are very important!

The claim to the seller is ready! I am waiting for the return of my money (Aliexpress Secure Purchase).
Thank you very much for your help, if it weren't for you I would have wasted my money.
Anyway, to be able to get an original X9000 would it work?

It should work, but an original X9000 is very rare and very expensive.

without the microcode update?

X9000 and T9500 use the same microcode.
