[REQUEST] HP ProBook 4330s Whitelist Removal
#1
Hi. I have a HP Probook 4330s and I've purchased a Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 wifi-card that won't work. Huh

Is there any chance you can remove the whitelist from my BIOS?

Currently installed BIOS: 68SRR Ver. F.01 Date 02/16/2011
Current BIOS: http://www.sendspace.com/file/rmazei
Updated BIOS from HP.com is here F.41 (..should I install this one?)
Thanks a lot in advance! Big Grin

I'm desperate. I've tried everything. wifi card doesn't work whatsoever. a bios message appears saying it's not supported Tried several wifi cards and all did the same.

It's RSA signed and I take full responsibility for all risks.

Manufacturer: HP
Model: Probook 4330s
Latest Bios Revision: 68SRR Ver. F.41
Bios download link: Link

thank you so much.

Unfortunately you bios, like all new HP bios, have a signature check on startup which prevents the rom from being modified. Until we isolate the check(s), then these kind of bios are currently unmoddable. Sorry.

Hello people !!!
I'm a proud but also very sad owner of a HP Probook 4330s. The little fellar supported a great deal of change through the years, from I3 to I7 cpu, from 2 to 8 gb of ram, new SSHD, bluray drive, usb 3.0 card but now, I want to change the wireless module in order to have a high bandwidth AC connection and Widi to my smart TV. So I purchased an Intel dual-band 7260 ac module to change the old Atheros card ... and surprise...it is not recognized. To me it was a horrific surprise to find out from your forums that HP has locked this feature into recognizing a handful of adapters which are all wireless N and not to be found in my country.
I'm not sure if anyone else has asked for this...but if you are able to give me an answer or a solution ... you'll be forever in my prayers.
That said:
HP Probook 4330s
Product: xx945EA#ABB
Bios version: latest F.50 (sp68040.exe)
wireless adapter model: 7260HMW
FCC ID: PD97260H
IC: 1000M-7260H

I'm not sure what other information is required... Thanks in advance to all who read this !!!

Not Moddable only and not all sp5xxxx.exe can be modded !
After this date 11-2011 all HP Bioses are RSA Internal Signed so only using an SPI Programmer
can be rewrite back !
