[REQUEST] Lenovo B560 (39CNxxWW) Whitelist Removal

Still couldnt make it
It always says it cant open the .wph file, "wrong directory". The bios.bat and the .wph file are one the same directory on my dos usb stick. PLEASE help me get this to work

Anyone can tell me, what else i could try? I can boot from the Stick (tried several sticks now) and i get into the MS DOS Screen, but i always get the same error: failed to open/load 39CN16WW.wph

I have a Lenovo B560, it's Pentium P6100 with Intel GPU version ( the other B560 came with i3 and Nvidia GPU)
I have installed Mac OSX 10.9 but it not recogize my wifi card so i decide to install a AR9285, but bios blocked it
here is my bios info
- stock wifi card : intel wifi link 5150
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_423D&SUBSYS_13168086&REV_00
- current bios 39cn16ww
- no bios update/backup on lenovo site

also i have a question, my laptop have another PCI slot that can fit fullsize wificard, but it's only for WWAN card ( lenovo said that) i installed my new wifi card in here but windows can't recogize it, even installed driver. maybe because of bios whitelist ?

Hi!

I have a Lenovo B560 without the original wifi card, so I can't provide information about it's mac or code.
Also, Lenovo doens't offer BIOS updates for this laptop, so no download link, but if someone tells me how to backup Bios the way it's needed, I'll upload it.

By the way, I've found a post that talks about the same:

I can say that without the platform informations is not possible to flash an
Phoenix Bios in .rom format !
So It needs an Original Bios file from that We can extract .WPH informations !
I cannot find anyone for Lenovo IdeaPad B560 so only file We can use is the Camiloml
Bios Mod 36CN16WW (It's not same version) !
I have done the rebuild, but there is a possibilty of Brick, so if do You want to try
let me know how is gone !

First of all thanks you for your interest helping me

I've made a bootable usb with rufus (MSDOS type) and copied files you uploaded onto it.
Shut down laptop, conect usb, boot from it, execute bios.bat and I get and error code before it tries to flash:

File Open failed on 39CN21WW_NWL.WPH
PRESS ANY KEY TO EXIT

Do you know what happens? I'm doing something wrong?

By the way, it would be possible to reverse FN and CTRL keys?

Try this one, but if You get error yet (It's a Bios rebuilded so not original chuncks)
then ask to Sml6397 Phoenic Bios Expert, send to him a PM !

Thx camilo. I have been able to flash your rom.

I simply edited an original wph with hex editor to obtain the platform information to flash.

The rom here end at 003ffff0. The wph instead go over 00400000.

Considering that rom is pure bios information i just copied from the wph address 00400000 till the end and paste to the rom file at the end of address 003ffff0.

The file obtained was flashed and now I have my ralink wireless card working on this lenovo b560. Quite risky i know considering that i don't know exactly what instructions over 003ffff0 means but i was lucky and i have unlocked this damned notebook.
