[REQUEST] Lenovo G580 (62CNxxWW) Whitelist removal
Hi, please help me with this machine. The manufacturer BIOS is available here:

https://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mob...7ww_64.exe

I found a few threads but I wasn't able to find any file for this machine yet. BIOS version is currently 62cn97ww. Serial programming if required should not be a problem.

I'd very much like to replace the 1x1n WiFi with an AC card Smile

I've extracted the Phoenix ROM image file from the Lenovo utility:

http://www.filedropper.com/62cn97ww

The PCI info of a working card is: PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_002B&SUBSYS_30A117AA

Many thanks in advance!

Hi mate,
All bios up version 62CN96WW are locked and not rewritable as Eeprom Chip Write Protected !
So only using the Tools (SPI PGM + Clip) is possible !

Thanks, I will gather the file.

Out of interest, surely the Lenovo included flash utility can unlock the chip to flash?

Hello, I was wondering if someone could help me with the whitelist. Just got a new wi-fi card to replace an old/overused card and well, you know the story...Upgrading to an Intel 7260 and was a bit peeved to learn of the whitelist.
Lenovo G580 20157.
