I have Lenovo p580 with bios version = 5ECN42WW (V4.01)
I need to remove wl whitelist and put ssd hard drive later.
Did made bios backup with FPT_BACKUP-BIOS.exe

ٰI am new to this. Could you please explain step by step.
I made usb drive with DOS bootable put all files on it and boot from it and run flash.bat file in DOS. I get error 28. Last time I continued and bricked my notebook.
Please explain to me where I am wrong?

Sorry about my hesitation.
I got my repaired notebook after 20 days. You know how it is without notebook.

So you are saying that after running flash.bat in DOS and getting this error 28 I should hit enter to continue.
I am running windows 8.1 Last time I did hit enter after that my notebook did not boot in any way, I spent $$

Should I run prr file first and then fpt with dos command?

OK I will try. Just one more question. Windows 8.1 has nothing to do? I mean windows 8 and 8.1 do influence bios when shutdown and restart on its options.
