[REQUEST] Lenovo S230U Twist Whitelist Removal
#1
Hi there.
I'm looking through the forums and and in need of some assistance if it is possible.

I have the following:

Lenovo Twist S230U-3347
BIOS GDETC1WW 1.81
BIOS Date 2019-06-27
Embedded Controller Version GDHTC1WW 1.81
BIOS Download https://download.lenovo.com/pccbbs/mobiles/gduj33us.exe

Is it possible to mod the BIOS so that it accepts any WWAN card, and not just cards specifically listed in the whitelist?

If not, is it possible to *add* a card to the whitelist, or do I need to "replace" an existing card with the new one?
Ideally, I'd like to be able to use any card, or at the very least be able to switch back and forth between two cards.

I currently have one card working, which allows 3G connections only, but I also have another card which allows 4G connections (the 4G card is currently not in the whitelist).

Worst case, I can ditch the 3G card and just solely use the 4G card.

The 3G card which is currently working is:
Name: "Ericsson H5321 gw"
Hardware ID in Device Manager: USB\Vid_0bdb&Pid_1926&Cdc_0d&Mi_06

The 4G card which I want to add to the Whitelist is:
Name: "Dell Wireless 5808 Gobi 4G LTE Mobile Broadband Card"
Hardware ID in Device Manager: USB\VID_413C&PID_81A8&REV_0006&MI0c

Is there anybody that might be able to help me with this?
I have an inline EEPROM programming clip that I can use if it is required - no idea whether the BIOS is RSA signed or not, or how to identify if it is.
