Now I understand! Sorry that I didn't get it before. I'll definitely be sending something your way for the trouble and hassle that I've caused you Big Grin.

The test clips wouldn't stay on so I had to hold them but I think that I still managed to read the chip. Here's .bin file + the results from AIDA64 that you asked for: https://www.sendspace.com/filegroup/s36o...KppM%2FRvA

Your Eeprom Chip bin file is 0x00h so error reading It !
You have to grab well and hard the chip's feet !
Ask to iDCT (user) about how to may be He used an own way Smile
You are near the solution so don't give up now !
Let me know
Regards

P.S. your Bios read from Chip as to be 4096 KB and is same as x32_bios-region_1.1.1.1120.bin
present into result file rar compressed !

I feel your pain. I have been trying this mod for a year but I can't get the SPI programmer to read the chip. I've tried two different clips, it never reads it. So frustrating!

Hi, I have this laptop and been dying to upgrade the wifi card.

I have the reader and bought the clip, and I found the bios chip. But what software do I run?
I tried BDMaster's links in a previous post but one of the links seems to be dead.

Hello again, BDMaster. I was on here a few months ago trying to read the chip but was having trouble. I got new test clips and these are much better but I still can't get the file. When I read it gives me a 2048 KB file, not a 4096 KB file.

I must be doing something else wrong. Could you tell me if this is the correct orientation for the test clips on the programmer?

I also noticed that you posted some software files for the ch341a that have a serial driver and a usb driver. Do both of those drivers have to be installed?

EDIT: I also sometimes get the "device state: NotConnect" in the software when I clip the test clips to the eeprom chip.

Hi mate,
Install USB driver and check all connections aligneing all tools to Pin #1 from Programmer to
the Chip foot (ball signed) !
Then You have to get Connection Device to read the Chip and You can set manually the size to 4096 !
Let me know
Regards

P.S. a lot of times is the Clip to generate issues !
