[REQUEST] MCP61PM-AM BIOS Unlock (Acer, Gateway, Emachines)
#61
(06-11-2015, 12:28 PM)c0ldw1nd Wrote: Your PC does support up to 4GB of RAM. I have unlocked some settings in this BIOS, try at your own risk http://www.mediafire.com/download/7lhea9...R01-C0.zip

My PC has four ram slots... so 2x4 = 8GB that's what i'm aiming for.
I could do 1x4 but i have two spare 2GB chips, so...
anyway what's unlocked ?

I have the MCP61PM-AM motherboard, and was looking for the modded bios files.  I've found all the files I need (abit unlocked, award flash, hp usb dos, win 98 disk) I just need to know the proper steps to flash.  And maybe some confirmation I've got the right files.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,
I have an Acer Power m8 computer that came with the MCP61PM-AM HT2000 Rev 1.0A motherboard. I think it's fowconn or ECS motherboard.

I flashed the BIOS with the latest firmware of Acer last week (R01_C0) :here (https://www.acer.com/ac/fr/FR/content/support-product/923?b=1) 2008/12/09 Version: R01-C0, and everything went fine with the Winflash software  Smile  ! It is an award 6.00 pg bios. I use this motherboard as a computer server and my purpose is to underclock a little the cpu to reduce consumption ! But this latest acer bios is locked, there are no clock options... Sad

I have seen this similar motherboard:https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/archive/...170-3.html
and this identical motherboard; https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-G...M-Rev-1-0A but links in Gateway are dead !

Thank you in advance for your help
and sorry for my bad english.

Best regards

I have an Acer Aspire T180 that has ECS MCP61PM-AM mobo. Using it for NAS build.
Manual says Award v6.0
I've seen threads stating that unlocked Abit MCP61 BIOS will work with it. Unfortunately links to dropbox are dead.
Interesting in seeing if modded bios will recognise larger DIMMs

I found it here https://www.bios-mods.com/reviews/unlock...ail-bbios/
