Request: Asus GL503VD AMI BIOS unlock
#1
Question
Hi,

I have an Asus GL503VD laptop with the AMI 307 bios.

Can anyone unlock it? I'd like to be able to change settings for the cpu/gpu.

Here's the download link for it: https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/Gamin...DAS307.zip

Let me know if any additional information is needed.

Please send me FPT BIOS region dump (FPTw.exe -bios -d biosreg.bin)
YOu need to find ME FW version, often on BIOS main page, if not in HWINFO64 large window, expand motherboard, find ME area and then locate ME Firmware version. Then from this thread download matching ME System Tools package from the "C" Section
https://www.win-raid.com/t596f39-Intel-M...Tools.html

Inside you will find Flash Programming Tool folder, and inside that a windows/Win/Win32 folder. Select that win folder, hold shift and press right click, choose open command window here (Not power shell) and then type the command I gave above, then send me the created .bin file

You're welcome, and thanks for the backup!

In order to flash mod BIOS, you will have to unlock "BIOS Lock" setting, here is my guide on that, you can all start at step #6 because steps #1-5 I have done for you and your variable is below
https://www.win-raid.com/t3908f16-GUIDE-Grub-Setup-Var-Guide-Fix-Intel-FPT-Error-BIOS-Lock-Bit-Set-HSFS-W-Asus-or-Other-Mod-BIOS.html

BIOS Lock Variable >> 0x8E5
Rename .efi file to >> Shell.efi

Once this is done, you can reflash modified BIOS I will send you. In the mod BIOS I will unlock this setting by default, but next time you reflash any stock BIOS it will be locked again and need unlocked again for mod BIOS reflash any time after that.

Mod BIOS coming shortly!

Here is your modified BIOS region, flash with FPT using command below.  http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?fil...2106988190

FPTw.exe -bios -f biosregM.bin

*** No one else use this file, it's system specific, if you need unlock send me your BIOS region dump, otherwise you will loose system details (Serial, UUID, etc)
You have been warned!!!

Thanks for confirmation! I just noticed in the BIOS, when I renamed Main 2, ADV 2, etc all original Main, ADV also got renamed to "2" as well, I didn't realize when changing that both changed when you changed one for this BIOS Sad

This is not cool looking, sorry I didn't notice before! Here is fixed BIOS, without the 2 for each
