I'm using C2D E6300 and ICH8 that camiloml use.

I think your lspci report can be used for modding my bios.

Well, i have deleted the boot from lan option roms and inserted AHCI option rom, it should trigger if the controller is really in ahci mode, you should see it before entering bios setup. This one (if working) should detect the HDs and pass them as boot objects to the bios setup.

WARNING!! Never tested this on a phoenix bios before!!! Don't flash it unless you're 100% sure you have a working crisis recovery method in case this ends in a brick.

If you take the risk and flash it do it before enabling AHCI with SYNCMOS, then enable AHCI and reboot to see if the option rom pops.

If it does not brick and rom pops then the remaining work is easy bread for ahmed Wink

Remember, it's up to you to test it, even we don't want to brick your lappy sometimes this happens, we take no responsability on this.

Can you tell me how to make and test phoenix crisis recovery disk?

You can download it in my folder.

Simply take your original WPH bios rename to BIOS.WPH and copy over the one in the packet, then run WINCRIS with a usb stick inserted and it will create the USB crisis disk. It's a minidos bootable drive. Try to boot from it and see if it flashes your original bios. If it does then you're almost sure it works for you Smile

Even if it flashes successfully, can I believe it works with a bricked BIOS?

HI ,

the crisis disk is designed to flash the bricked bios ...........it`s just force flashing the original bios and then your notebook would be alive again ( if it was bricked )

i have acer 5536G and bricked my bios 3 times and flashed it using crisis disk and here the notebook works perfectly again .

any DESKTOP computer or NOTEBOOK has a crisis disk .
the DESKTOP computers has the advantage of removing the bios chip to fix it then place it again OR just using the crisis disk.

the worst thing could happen is that you remove the bios chip to flash it .

AND PLEASE WAIT AS I WANT TO CONTACT CAMILOML BEFORE FLASHING YOUR BIOS...........ME AND CAMILOML WILL MAKE SURE THIS BIOS WON`T BRICK YOUR NOTEBOOK.

Hello.

Open your desktop and look for the flash IC, is it soldered or socketed. Does your motherboard have a SPI Conector header?

I guess the image i sent you would not brick your desktop, but ahmed thinks that, besides the mod itslef, the way i used to rebuild the file, sometimes, under strange circumstances, may produce a brick. The truth is that i don't know how to integrate the option rom other way than the way i used. So i can help you no more here.

I think the file is ok, but... who knows.

It's up to you decide if you take the risk. I have done my best to prevent a brick, now you must do your best to be able to recover if the "strange circumstances" appear and you brick. Or simply give up. Sorry, this are the choices right now. Wink
